The central diamond in each HERZ solitaire is selected for brilliance and visual pefection, under the criteria of the Four C’s
(Carat, Color, Clarity and Cut) and certified by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America).

CARAT
0.50 ct. 0.75 ct. 1.00 ct. 2.00 ct. 5.00 ct.
A carat is divided into 100 points which means that a diamond of 50 points weighs
0.50 carats. But two diamonds of equal weight can have very different values,
depending on the other three characteristics of a diamond’s 4Cs: clarity, color, and
cut. The majority of diamonds used in fine jewelry weigh one carat or less.

HERZ diamonds are within the D (colorless) to G (near colorless) GIA color scale.
CLARITY
VVS1 VS2 SI2 12
Virtually every diamond contains minute “birthmarks”” called inclusions. These are not
visible to the naked eye, and can only be seen under 10X magnigification. VVS1 and
VS2 show “very, very slight” inclusions. SI1 and SI2 are “slightly included.”
HERZ diamonds fall within the highest VVS1 to VS2 range.
CUT
PRINCESS ROUND PEAR EMERALD CUT OVAL RADIANT MARQUISE HEART

The precision of the cut is key to a diamond’s brilliance because it
determines how the diamond “plays” with the light. HERZ offers diamonds
in today’s popular shapes, pictured above.
